The annual ALMA conference is not to be missed. It's a chance to meet up, be inspired, laugh, learn lots, and get involved in ALMA. Come to sessions on lesbian health, sexuality, politics, relationships, research, families. There's lots of time to network and make new friends or catch up with old ones. Great effort goes into testing and choosing tasty food and wine for the conference dinner, after which you can dance the night away. You don't need to be a member to attend, but you do need to be a lesbian doctor/med student or partner of a lesdoc.

The first ALMA conference was held in 1999 at Lake Macquarie. Since then we have met at Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Noosa, Blue Mountains and Coffs Harbour. Our most recent conference was a celebration of  the four seasons in Melbourne.

Health Tip

Women over 20, is your health worth 15 minutes a month? Monthly breast self-exams increase your chances of finding breast cancer early.
