test tube in labALMA supports original research into lesbian health.

Since 2004/5 we have funded a joint grants round with the AIDS Council of NSW. In 2007 a total of $10,000 was awarded to three projects on Australian lesbian and bisexual women's health.

The winners for 06/07 include: a project on understanding sexuality for workers in immigrant and refugee communities; a study of same-sex attracted women's experience of mental health care; and a study on lesbians and STIs.

Past projects have looked at areas such as: lesbians' experiences of public maternity care; thriving and wellness in lesbian and bisexual women; and a safe-sex website for young women who have sex with women.
